Massachusetts Govenor Baker signed into a law a bill regulating and taxing short-term (31 days or less) rentals effective on all rentals booked on or after January 1, 2019.
The following taxes will be added to the rent:
State Tax 5.7%
Local Tax 6% on Nantucket
Cape Cod & Island Water Protection Fund TBD (every town in Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties are automatically opted in.)
*Refundable security deposit is 10% of rental with a minimum of $400.
*Pet Fee $150
*Cleaning Fee $150

CANCELLATION POLICY:
FULL REFUND LESS 15% OF TOTAL RENTAL IF MORE THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE. NO REFUND IF WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ARRIVAL DATE. |
